She certantly is affected mentally by looking at the shapes, those DEFINITLY don't make her, looks more like some sorta weird puzzle.

They'll have to cut from their memory room, where they are right now (still part of the dream, just somewhere where they can learn about the waking world).

They'll go back through MEAT's room, and get back to the ocean that way.

Or, if things went how they were supposed to, that's what they'd do. Things rarely go as planned.
