They'll have to cut from their memory room, where they are right now (still part of the dream, just somewhere where they can learn about the waking world).

They'll go back through MEAT's room, and get back to the ocean that way.

Or, if things went how they were supposed to, that's what they'd do. Things rarely go as planned.

Patient's can leave against medical advice (AMA as we call it) and we can't stop them. All we can do is educate them and hope they stay.
