I wonder, are botha these fan oc's, or actual canon characters? That one drawing of that duck holding a melting eggman showed me there are MANY characters in the sonic canon that you just don't hear about without being the biggest fan ever, but how often does this happen?

If you take the comics into account, it's going to happen A LOT! There's this ridiculous amount of canon characters that are exclusive to other media and specially the comics. The Archie run had a disproportionate amount (and then it didn't, but that's a rabbit hole called Ken Penders) and the current IDW comic series has about a dozen and most of them very beloved.

If you want to have a fun time look for 'Scourge the hedgehog', then search for 'Knuckles genealogy tree' and know those are all canon.

Also, yeah, those are both canon characters! Their name are Tangle (lemur) and Whisper (wolf)

This looks really weird without any shading. I'm really used to that being in your arts, it's soooo strange without! And the fact that you clearly used brushes that could work for making shading, as the spots and coloured fur on the characters, makes it even more surreal!

A lot of practice for me! I used to have nightmares constantly as a kid, but I'd be aware I was in them. So it was a lot of learning how to convince my brain of things. The first thing I figured out was flying a little bit thinking of the sensation of jumping, but not the sensation of landing.

Now if I'm ever suspicious in a dream but not certain, I try floating to check.

Also, as a lucid dreamer, I personally find teleporting difficult... especially when I'm afraid, in which case moving becomes hard too. When the Mosasaurus (personal fear lol) is coming, I suddenly can't swim.

Well, to be fair, it's not actually blood, it's just this dude called Doctor Eggman (might have heard of him) all melted up, you see~! Red just happens to be Eggman's signature color so... yeah. I even tagged it as blood in tumblr just in case.

About the platypus dude in question. In the IDW Sonic comics, he's this huge fanboy of Eggman, but when he starts working for him, he realizes the flaws of his idol and starts becoming disillusioned with him. Effectively seeing the image he had of him 'fall apart' before his very eyes, and it's the beginning of some serious spiraling for the character.

Very technically, you could say the drawing is a specific scene in the IDW Sonic comics! The original scene might be a bit less... dramatic, though: https://i.imgur.com/737LiSe.jpeg But it's kind of the same scene, right!? Like the last two episodes of Evangelion and The End of Evangelion movies...

In short, I friggin' love obsessive gay little dudes ruining their lives and going insane.
